Holiday Waves

I love going through old photo because I find Gems like this.

Here is a tutorial I made last year on How to get Casual waves.

Perfect look for the Holidays.

Step 1. Grab about an inch of your hair

Step 2. Hold your iron upside down and start to wrap the hair around the wand.

Step 3. To get that casual wave, leave about 1-2 inches out of the curling iron.

Step 4. Hold your hair straight for about 15seconds.

Step 5.  Let your hair go.

Step 6: Brush your fingers through your hair, to soften up your curls.

Final look of your Casual Waves.

Have an amazing Day!

Warm tones vs Ash tones

March 11, 2014

Such a pleasure working with my client Jannie. She was so fun and I’m glad I got to know her as well as take care of her hair! Jannie is an amazing makeup artist, super driven, such a caring person and a wife and mother. When she came to me, she had long beautiful hair filled with warmer tones, old pieces of highlights. And she was ready for a change.

Her cut: She wanted to take up some length because she felt her hair was losing volume and fullness. So I took off a good 3-4 inches, added volume mainly in the back, not so much on her ends so it won’t be too thin.

Her color: well she wanted a change and showed me a picture I previously did with lots of blonde. So what’s the best thing I thought to do for a change? Cancel out the warmth, use more ash

Here’s the result. So beautiful!!

We love the result!!!

As I mentioned, she’s an amazing makeup artist and constantly educating her self with newest products and tools to beautify you!

What To Wear With Your a Hair: Wool Shake by Redken

February 22, 2014

What’s to love? Gives hair a beachy textured result. If you don’t mind feeling products in your hair you’ll love this stuff. It’s giver volume to fine hair and style to super pin straight hair.

Who’s it for? Fine hair, wavy hair, straight hair….. Anyone really that wants the above results

How to use it Shake well! It’s a gel like consistency, a little heavy.
For fine hair, you can spray on the roots on damp hair and blow dry buoy will definitely get result and feel the texture right away. Another way to use it is spray directly on your hands and run it through or scrunch it in your hair, especially for wavy hair.
Fit pin straight hair, spray on damp/dry hair, mid shaft to ends and watch the texture form.

Check it out here…Redken Wool Shake

SoulPancake For the OWN Network

February 21, 2012

I am so grateful to be working with these amazing people! They are so positive and creative and I couldn’t ask for a better group of people that I would want to be around. These are short episodes that air on the OWN Network.

My life long goal is to meet OPRAH! I have not done that yet but working for something that aires on her Network is very close so maybe soon :/ plus I love the concept and everyone on set is awesome! They want me to bring Azella! (picture above is Azella and I on set)

The crew setting up this huge old vintage TV set that they made themselves!

Below are a few of the episodes that have already aired, you’ll get the idea of the show when you see these episodes. Hopefully they will extended the length of the show and they can turn into 30minute episodes. :)

Happy Valentines Day

February 14, 2012

So today is the day you celebrate love with your special someone. If you don’t have a date or aren’t in a relationship (so overrated lol ) its a day to love yourself, to remind yourself that you are worth it, you are loved by good friends and family and deserve to have this day to yourself. :)

My favorite bible verse on love…

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.”

-Corinthians 13:4–8

For everyone who has not seen my posts. Here are some makeup and nail ideas you can do for your special date. :)

a romantic look using the naked palette from Urban Decay. I got so many requests asking me to do a few looks using these colors and this is what I came up with. :)

A fun flirty eyeliner for a night out.

Romantic Soft Smokey Eyes

Fun Black and white Striped Nails

Black Matte Nail Polish and Hearts

and finally pink studded nails

Oldie But Goodie Tutorial!

February 6, 2012

So I found this old tutorial I did on my old blog about 3 years ago. Its crazy to look back on the work you have done and how much the videos I do now have progressed ! I dont even talk to explain anything. lol enjoy this oldie but goodie!

Base: Rubenesque

Step 1: Apply Rubenesque all over the bottom half of your lid, for your eye shadow to last ALL day. I like to apply this with my fingers.

Eye Shadow:

Rice Paper

Step 2: Apply Honesty Directly on top of your base using a flat brush to pack on your shadow.

Step 2: Apply Texture to the crease of your eye.  Start at the outter corner and blend in, use a 224 brush from MAC.

Step 3: Apply Rice Paper to your brow bone. Right below your eye brows, you can use a 217 brush.

Step 4: With a small blending brush apply rice paper right below your lower lash line.

Eye Liners: Graph Black, Boot Black from MAC

Step 5: Apply Graph Black eye liner to your water line.

Step 6: Apply Boot Black eye liner to the top of your eye, start from the end of your eye and line to the middle and then do your inner corner and line to the middle.

Step 7: Apply your Mascara or Lashes, mine are #3 lashes from MAC

Step 8: Apply your gloss and lip liner, this is cherry and russian red gloss.

Final Look!
