Base: Rubenesque

Step 1: Apply Rubenesque all over the bottom half of your lid, for your eye shadow to last ALL day. I like to apply this with my fingers.

Eye Shadow:

MAC

Honesty

Texture

Rice Paper

Step 2: Apply Honesty Directly on top of your base using a flat brush to pack on your shadow.

Step 2: Apply Texture to the crease of your eye.  Start at the outter corner and blend in, use a 224 brush from MAC.

Step 3: Apply Rice Paper to your brow bone. Right below your eye brows, you can use a 217 brush.

Step 4: With a small blending brush apply rice paper right below your lower lash line.

Eye Liners: Graph Black, Boot Black from MAC

Step 5: Apply Graph Black eye liner to your water line.

Step 6: Apply Boot Black eye liner to the top of your eye, start from the end of your eye and line to the middle and then do your inner corner and line to the middle.

Step 7: Apply your Mascara or Lashes, mine are #3 lashes from MAC

Step 8: Apply your gloss and lip liner, this is cherry and russian red gloss.

Final Look!

Its no surprise that I LOVE bright lips. Its my favorite thing to do! If I HAD to choose one piece of makeup to live with for the rest of my life (thank God I don’t really have to do that) but I would definitely have to keep my red lips.

See I’m telling you… Same bright lip, Different day. 

I have done many Red Carpet events in my days and anytime someone is not sure about trying on a bright lip, I apply it on just so they can see it and they end up LOVING it.

Like… April, Trey Songz mom. I do her makeup when she is in town attending events with her son. This is her with a bright lip, I talked her into doing this for a premiere she was attending and she loved it.

You would be surprised on how many steps can go into achieving the perfect red lip. I mean you obviously don’t do these steps everyday but when you are attending a red carpet event or taking pictures all night long these steps make a difference!

So I have now been a makeup artist for officially 10 years! geez I feel old! but I have quite a few Red Carpet experiences under my belt. From big events like the Grammys and Oscars to small store openings! A few things you have to remember about red carpet you got to use primers and long lasting makeup because these events are long and they cant go in looking gorgeous and come out looking, well…. not so pretty! haha

Some brands of primers I like are, smashbox, two faced, and Laura Mercier. I have never had a problem with these and also know that these will definitely help your foundation last all night! Primers to use on your eyes, Urban Decay, and Macs paint pots! I love them!

Anyway, here is one look I put together for you all recreating Kim K’s look at the Golden Globes and I also added some fun nails to go with the look:)

MAC: LADY DANGER!

So I have spent the last day editing a video that was requested for a quick fast back to school makeup look.

How often do you rush getting ready in the morning because you woke up late?! When I was in high school I would rush to school every morning! I had to be at school by 730am every morning to make sure I got parking, If the parking lot was full we had to park like a mile away! So most days I would end up doing my makeup in my cute little mint green honda civic (haha, the best thing about that car was that it cost $7 to fill up the entire tank!) I would quickly do basic makeup before I had to go to my first class. Back then I wore heavy eye liner and a lot of mascara! LOL One day I will post a picture of it.

If we had YouTube back when I was in high school I’m sure it would have shown a lot of people how easy it was to get ready in 5 minutes!

I hope you guys enjoy this video as much as I did making it for you all!!!

So I picked out basic items that everyone should have in their makeup bag. Not many brushes needed besides a blush brush and a kabuki brush but you can use your blush brush to apply the mineral powder and bronzing powder.

RED LIPS… aww you guys all know my LOVE with bright, bright, bright lips! I’ve seen so many celebrities rock’n the bright red lips so I am going to show you how to do it the right way because you guys dont want those lips to smear right away or look super messy.

PRODUCTS:

Concealer: to nude your lips

Lip liner: Cherry Lip Liner from (MAC)

Lipstick: You Say Tomato (limited from MAC but you can get MAC RED)

Gloss: Clear Lip Gloss (MAC)

Your going to have to apply concealer all over and around your lip to nude out your natural color and to avoid your lipstick from bleeding.

Then take Cherry Liner, line your lips and color in a little bit just like the picture

.

Take Concealer and clean up your lips, your going to need a flat brush.

Take the brush and apply the concealer around  your lips (like the picture below) to clean them up and take out any imperfection.

Then blend in the concealer, and apply the clear gloss.

For all the faux redheads and true redheads, you can and you should be able to wear red lipstick. There are now a wide variety of red lipstick shades for your type of red head. 

Forget the make up rule of redheads shouldn’t wear red lipstick.. It’s sexy.

I did a trial a couple weeks back for her wedding, we wanted to go for an old hollywood look. Her eyes were so gorgeous anything would have looked good on her. This is what I used.

EYES:

Base: Painterly (MAC paint pot)

Lower lid: Sweet Sienna Pigment (MAC)

Crease: Brown Script (MAC)

Deep Crease: Smut (MAC)

Highlight: Rose Blanc or you can use Nylon (MAC)

Eye Liner:

Top: Blacktrack (MAC)

Waterline: Graphblack (MAC)

Face:

Foundation: Studio Fix Fluid

Cheeks: Melba (MAC)

Lips:

Lip liner: Cherry (MAC)

Lipstick: Queens Sin (MAC)

Gloss: Clear
