Apple Cider Vinegar is one of the oldest folk remedies! Known as the “old timers” remedy, Apple Cider Vinegar has been known to cure many aliments.

There is a long list of ailments Apple Cider Vinegar can cure including acne and scalp and hair conditions!

The main thing that makes Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) so effective is that it balances he body’s pH levels. If the body is balanced, our skin glows and our hair shines! Who wouldn’t want that!

How ACV can help with Acne and oily skin conditions:

ACV kills the bacteria on the skin and balances our skins pH level. It also absorbs excess oil which is one of the causes leading causes of Acne.

Recipe

Dilute the Apple Cider Vinegar in water by one part of vinegar and 3 to 4 parts of water.

Apply the solution directly to your skin with clean cotton, and leave it there for about ten minutes.

After ten minutes, rinse off the vinegar.

Repeat this three times a day. For severe cases of acne, the solution can be used overnight without rinsing.

For more severe acne, the water ratio can also be reduced to 2 or 3 parts per one part of vinegar, but this stronger solution should not be left on overnight.

Recipe from Home Remedies Web

How ACV can help with hair and scalp conditions:

Because ACV has an acidity level that is close to the hairs natural acid level, it works as a great conditioner, cleaning agent and germ killer. It is also extremely helpful for dry and oily dandruff.

Recipe

After shampooing hair,

Mix 1/2 cup ACV with 1 1/2 cups warm water

Pour on scalp and and hair

Rinse

You can follow up with a conditioner, but don’t need to. I like to use a tiny bit of Coconut Oil as a leave-in conditioner.

This recipe helps with dandruff as well as seals the hairs cuticle after cleansing leading to full, shiny, healthy hair.

There are so many more recipes, benefits, and knowledge about Apple Cider Vinegar and you can find them HERE and HERE.

We are used to protecting our skin from the sun, but what about our hair? The sun’s rays can definitely affect our hair.

Try some of these tips and you will subtly notice the difference with your hair.

Protect:

1. Wear a wide brimmed hat

2. Leave in Conditioner

3. Leave in product with UV protection – this can build up in your hair so use clarifying shampoo once a week to remove coating.

4. protect your scalp, if you have a favorite parting, apply SPF 30 or higher on parting

During Summer, salt water, chlorine and wind can dry your hair. Try and limit beach visits, swimming pools and outdoor activity with out protecting your hair.

1. Wet your hair with plain water before swimming to prevent it from absorbing too much chlorine and rinse again right after swimming.

2. Wear a hat or put long hair up to avoid wind damage.

3. Stay away from lemon juice, alcohol, peroxide or other coloring tricks because they can definitely dry out and damage your hair.

Get your shine back! If your hair is already dry and frizzy from sun exposure, it is not too late to get it back!

1. Use hair repair shampoo weekly

2. Use a deep conditioner weekly. Cover your hair with a shower cap to let your natural heat penetrate the conditioner deeply in your hair. Conditioners with keratin, wheat germ protein, and jojoba oil are good choices. Make sure to condition ends well!

3. Apply a sunscreen laden leave in conditioner daily to protect your sundamaged hair from further UV damage

4. Limit blow dryers, curling irons, and flat irons to prevent further damage.

5. Your hair color will definitely fade with sun exposure, a hair gloss and/or deep conditioning treatment with your hair stylist can add shine back to your locks

A brief introduction of the benefits of avocado:

1. Avocado has been used traditionally to help people with sexual problems.

2. Great antioxidant and can be used for skin disorders

3. Avocado will aid healing for people suffering from digestive and circulatory problems

4. Another benefit of avocado for the skin where avocado paste can be applied to rashes and rough skin to make it smoother.

5. The brighter the fruit, the more beta-carotene (the substance that helps to prevent cancer) your avocado contains.

The use :

1. The flesh of a ripe avocado soothes sunburnt skin. Just cut the fruit in half and rub it gently over the affected areas.

2. Eat an avocado everyday if you’re recuperating from sickness and are trying to regain your strength.

3. Mash Avocado with 1 tbsp of olive oil and apply to hair as a mask. Leave for about 20 minutes and rinse out thoroughly. Result: shiny hair

I hate having dry skin. A lotion connoisseur?

A few weeks back I came across miracle lotion. Its called Hawaiian Moon Aloe. It caught my attention when I found out it’s made with ‘all natural ingredients’, the first on the list is organic aloe (a natural healer). Then reading what it was supposed to do besides heal dry skin, I was in awe. Acne, rashes, bee stings, bruises, sunburn, psoriaisis, eczema, razor burns….plus more! Lastly, it absorbs 7 layers deep into your skin.

I know I am easily sold, on almost anything (infomercials are my frenemy), but I had to give it a try. It is a little pricey for normal grocery brand lotion but I did it and gave in.

And I just want to share that I LOVE IT! It honestly feels like nothing at first, non greasy at all and I am used to Palmers cocobutter which is total opposite. The consistency is in between gel and lotion. It was a little weird getting used to the lotion just absorbed right in to your skin, but when I started noticing that my skin has gotten super soft, I was loving it. I am going to keep using it to test out if it does improve other symptoms it claims to heal..

Check it out on Hawaiian Moon Aloe
