How to Naturally Reduce Your Pore Size at Home!

May 28, 2014

porsize1

Have you ever looked in the mirror and noticed large pores that weren’t there before?

A few days ago I was using my Clarisonic and my son comes running into the bathroom and asks…

“Mom, what are you doing to your face?’

I replied… ” Trying to get my skin to look like yours again.”

Now he runs around telling everyone that I want to look like him. haha

Our skin probably wont ever be as tight and smooth as it was when we were babies but

I can show you some natural steps to help reduce the size of your pores.

What Causes Large Pores?

Our bodies produce sebum, its an oily substance to protect the skin from drying out. People who have

naturally oily skin tend to have larger pores. When dirt and oil collect in your skin, your pores look larger than normal.

This is why is is very important to remove your makeup properly.

How To Naturally Reduce Your Pore Size?

DIY face mask.

Pour egg white from 1 egg into a bowl, whisk until the texture is foamy.

Let the bowl chill in the fridge for 5 minutes then squeeze the juice of one lemon.

Apply the mixture onto your skin, leave it one for 10-15 minutes.

Then rinse off with lukewarm water.

Lemon

Benefits:

The citric acid present in lemons helps exfoliate the skin and clean slogged pores.

Egg White:

Benefits

Egg whites have skin toning and complexion enhancing properties, it also keeps your skin free from impurities.

Raw Honey

Benefits: Reduces excess oil and tightens pores.

Honey can prevent clogged pores, apply raw honey to affected areas and massage into

skin for a few minutes. Then rinse with lukewarm water.

Relax and Enjoy this face mask!

See you in the next post.

Electric Palette Urban Decay

April 15, 2014

photo-9

Hello loves! Today I had some time to play with the Electric Palette from Urban Decay.

The photo above is what I came up with! I LOVE how pigmented the colors are.  I hate when you purchase

an eyeshadow and it look so beautiful and bright in the palette but you put it on, it looks so dual.

92203_electric_palette

1. Apply the color “urban” to the center of your lid.

2. Next apply “savage” to your crease with a blending brush.

3. To highlight my brow bone I used the color “vanilla” pigment from MAC

4. Above your crease softly swift the color “slowburn” so there is more of a transition.

5. Apply a black liner to your waterline.

6. Apply the color “chaos” to your lower lash line using a pencil brush.

7. Next I used Tartes new liquid liner (It’s AMAZING!) to create my winged out eyeliner.

8. Finished the look off with Salon Perfects Wispies, I glued them on using Duo Adhesive.

I hope you enjoyed this look!

Have an amazing day!

Physician Formula BB Cream Review

PHYSICIANS FORMULA BB CREAM

REVIEW

20130719-133031.jpg

So I purchased this a few months ago. I actually did a review on it already. But at that point I never tried

Physicians Formula BB Cream  Pressed Powder. BTW the photo above is unedited so you can see the true coverage of the BB cream.

Yesterday I decided to try something new.

I wanted to review a product that was inexpensive and easy to purchase. So I picked these items.

07867

This is said to be the ALL in ONE  “Miracle Cream”

Now if you are looking for a natural Dewy finish then this is the product for you.

First I applied the “all in one” BB cream all over my face. I purchase the Medium/Deep color but wish I got the

Light/Medium now because its not summer and my skin tone is 4 shades lighter.

images

I set the BB cream with this BB pressed powder and it really gave my skin a nice finish.

It looked flawless! something I was not expecting. I expected it to look chalky for some reason. But this product

laid on my skin so nicely it looked so natural.

PFI-03858-4

So then I tried this bronzer. I love how it has SPF 20 on it, but does it really work that way?

I need to look into more research about this, because that is AMAZING!

I really liked the color of it right when I applied it but I noticed as the

hours flew by the bronzer started to fade away. But the good thing is…. I do know that they have

another bronzer  >here<  that works wonders. This is how they explain it on their site…

“Revolutionary Italian technology combines the best features of powder, baked and cream bronzers for the most stunning bronze glow. Delivers a skin-perfecting finish unlike any other bronzer, we had to call it “Deluxe”!

After using it several time I will have to agree that it melts into your skin giving you a natural glow! :)

BTW they sell the Beauty Balm Makeup Kit that has all the products I just described in one package which is a little cheaper.

GET THE LOOK

_______________________________________

20140115-105436.jpg

To get this look I used a palette from Tarte Cosmetics  .

1. Use an eye shadow primer, I used the 12 hour creaseless primer form Tarte. >here<

2. I used “Taj Mahal” ( top left) all over my lid

3. Then defined my crease with “Grand Canyon” ( top right)

4. I highlighted the center of my waterline with their inner rim brightner. ( my ALL time favorites) >here<

5. Then I smoked out The green “central park” with a pencil brush right below my lash line.

6. To soften the green up a little more, I blended “Big Ben” (bottom left) right below it with a blending brush.

Final EYE look

To finish up the look I used, Ardell Lashes Demi Pixies.

From Day to Night

October 10, 2013

Last week we did a blog post for NastyGal. Below is my friend Rachel aka @instasteak on Instagram

20131010-101026.jpg

The whole concept is that it takes only 5minutes to make yourself look alive! The left side of the photo is how Rachel looks with a completely bare face, still gorgeous, I know! We are going to add a couple steps to make her look more awake.

On the right side of Rachel’s face I added tinted moisturizer a little bit of bronzer on the apples of her cheek to give her some color.
Next I added brown eyeliner to the outer corner of her lower waterline, to open up her eyes.
I then curled her lashes and added a couple coats of mascara.
Finished it off with some lip gloss and she is done! 5 minutes that’s all it takes.

Now if you want to go for the Kim K look, extra dramatic makeup look below!

20131010-101035.jpg
I contoured Rachel’s Entire face, gave her a dark smokey eye and added some pretty dramatic lashes #201’s from Ardell Lashes. Final look is below!

It’s crazy how just a little makeup can change your entire look, right?

Until next time!
