About a month ago, Alana and I did a wedding inspired photoshoot with such a talented photographer, Arina. She described the shoot to have pink cherry blossoms, blush colored bridal dress and bunnies. I mean how could you say no to that?! So we got to the location and found out that day we are doing hair and makeup at the park. No outlets or tables, but you just gotta make it work. We set up on the grass, used Alana’s Zuca bag for the model to sit on and laid out our supplies, and got to work.
For her hair, Arina wanted just up because the model will have a headband. I had to think of an updo that required no heat. I’ve been seeing this headband updo around on the web and decided to do it. I didn’t get to take a picture of the models massive hair before or a step by step, but I found a picture tutorial of pretty much what I did. A super easy hair style anyone with mid to long length can do on their own.
How to super quick headband updo:
1) you need a thin black (preferabbly) or whatever color elastic head band, and apply right over your head leaving hair out all around
2) take your hair from ear to ear and roll up and tuck in the elastic band
3) bobby pin if you need to secure hair in, hairspray and done!!
For products I used, Kenra Professional Volume hairspray 25 for that extra hold
and Kevin Murphy Easy. Rider to help me comb the hair together controlling frizz
Can’t wait for the finished pictures. You can find it on www.ArinaBPhotgraphy.com when it’s finished!
