Camouflage Your Scars With Tattoos

I was doing some research on camouflaging scars and ran into this website. What a great idea! its so simple but yet no one has really done it and if you can see the before and after pictures, it really works. I’ve read in a few articles of both men and women that have scars or pigmentation problems on their face that have gotten this done and it looks a hundred times better.
I have so many scars from when I was a child that I am now use to but I would consider camouflaging them, it looks great but what happens when you tan? I guess its better than a big white spot right?
Look Younger

Quick tip to looking younger, or avoid looking aged:
Since aged skin tends to be dry, Stick to creamy blushes and eyeshadows. Powder blushes and eyeshadows tend to settle into your fine lines and wrinkles.
Creamy blushes and eyeshadows can “plump” up your skin, give you a dewy healthier glow!
Most importantly, Be active! Smile! Have fun! and you won’t worry about how you look as you age.
Avoid Sun Damage

Did you know that most of the sun damage you see on your face when your older (40’s+) happened early on in life around your 20’s… This is why sun block is very important!!! When you tan wear at least 15 spf .
Eye care tip for puffy eyes

Quick tip:
Avoid salty foods. They can cause fluid retention and eye puffiness.
Slightly elevate your head while sleeping to prevent extra fluid from settling around eyes and making them puffy
Use cucumber slices to reduce eye puffiness.
Battle of the Chapsticks
I know it may seem a bit minor, but it is very important to have that perfect chapstick for me! I’m sure you guys never thought about it until you found your one. My previous post on chapstick was that I found Carmex Moisture Lip to be my fave, I forgot all about my other fave, Burt’s Bees. I had bought Burt’s Bees to compare, and the result was, I love them both!

CARMEX: I love the slim packaging the new Carmex comes in
The tingling/cooling feel of the menthol
SPF
Softens my lips and makes them a little poutier

BURT’S BEES: All natural
Semi matte finish
Earth Friendly
Softens my lips and feels moisturized
Eyebrows tip

Quick tip:
Pluck your eyebrows before you go to bed. Redness or swelling will have a chance to go away over night.
Quick Hair Care Tip- Blow drying

When you blow dry your hair, keep the blow dryer at least 6 inches away from your hair and keep it moving constantly so you don’t over heat your hair and scalp.
We want to avoid heat damage and dry scalp.
Always use heat protectant before blow drying.
One of my favorite products to use when blowdrying is Moroccan Oil. It’s great for medium to coarse hair. For fine hair use just a drop. Not so much for really blonde/platinum because it may tint hair strands.
Chapstick fave
I may have ended my mission on finding the best chapstick! I’ve always liked the results of carmex. That tingly feel and really makes your lips feel soft. I’ve had my on and off battles with “Chapstick” , my lips was soft but still felt dry? I do not like “Soft Lips”, that lasted like a minute of softness.
My visit to RiteAid showed me Carmex in a Soft Lips form, easy application, lipstick like and I love it!!
If you’ve been having a hard time trying chapstick after chapstick, try Carmex in a lipstick form. You can find i’m sure at any grocery store, spf 15 also.

Bijoux Bling
I ran across this beautiful ring here, but not only do I like the ring, I love the concept of the photo. Normally you see beautiful models wearing jewelry for their ads but they made this photo stand out by using black matte nail polish, and black paint around the fingers and palms. I LOVE IT!
“Less is More” Beauty tip

To brighten and emphasize the lips and cheeks, I use Benefit’s Benetint. The rose stain not only lasts all day, but it moisturizes my otherwise chapped lips. That’s pretty much the only makeup I use along with a top-notch mascara. Simple and effective…and as the saying goes: “Less is More!”
Thank you Sylvia Adams for your beauty tip! xoxo

Nail polish tips

Store your nail polish in the refrigerator to maintain its smooth consistency.
Although all nail colors are fun to use, try complementary colors for your skin for the days you don’t know what to use.
What nail color compliments your skin tone?
Pale/Ivory Skin: pinks and berries
Bronze/Olive Skin: orange and red shades, peach, brown with yellow undertone
Medium Skin: very versatile in color choices, but burgundy are most complementary
Dark Skin: Deep corals, purples and strong reds
Nail care tip
Avoid using perfume lotions that contain alcohol if your nails are weak and brittle. You are more likely to break or chip them.

Skin Care Tips

Apply your skin moisturizer after a bath or shower so that you can lock the moisture into your skin. Vitamin A and Vitamin E in moisturizers can strengthen your skin.
Oily Skin- Use a water based skin moisturizer
Sensitive Skin- Use a gentle, fragrance free and hypoallergenic skin moisturizer
Dry Skin- Use ointments, oils or creams to moisturizer, a lot more moisturizing than lotion
Drink plenty of water every day to nourish your skin, get plenty of sleep, eat lots of fruits and vegetables.
Hair Shine

Garnier Herbashine, is already available over seas but will be available in the U.S. this month.
Fortified with nourishing bamboo, the ammonia-free formula contains just enough peroxide to take your natural hue up a notch, it gives your hair an instant shine! I can’t wait for this.
Uses for tea bags
Eyes-bags
Place a cold tea bag (green tea or black tea) on each eye for approximately 10 minutes to help reduce eye puffiness.
Eyebrows
After tweezing your eyebrows, you can use wet tea bags to soothe the skin around your eyebrows
Body
Add Chamomile tea bags into your warm bath to help you relax and soothe your senses.
Face
Splash your face with cool black tea as an astringent.
Feet
Soak feet in tea for several minutes then pat dry, the tannins in tea help fight odor causing bacteria.
3 Wet Hair Tips
1.)Your hair is weak when it’s wet, so never rub your hair dry with a towel. Instead, blot the wetness out with a towel and fluff it with your fingers.
2.)When your hair is soaking wet, it is pointless to blowdry it right a way, this lengthens your blow dry time. Squeeze out excess water and towel blot, continue with other after shower routine to let the towel absorb more moisture, then proceed to blowdry.
3.)Also, dont comb your hair with a brush or comb when wet. This causes breakage. Add a light leave in conditioner, towel blot your hair or blowdry then brush with a wide tooth comb.
Homemade Moisturizer…

- Mix 1 cup liquid oil, such as avocado almond, with 1/2 cup beeswax
- Place over low heat until the beeswax melts, remove from the heat, and whisk until cool.
Add the content of three capsules of Vitamins E and a few drops of pure essential oil for aroma (lavender, sandalwood, rose, whatever you fancy), pour into a sterile jar, and store in a dark cool place.
NORMAL SKIN
Take a rose water get 1 cup of water and 1/2 cup of fresh rose petals and in a saucepan heat the water and rose petals just until boiling. then cool it and strain out the petals and add glycerin and aloe vera juice. store this in the refrigerator, now your homemade moisturizer is ready to use.
OILY SKIN
- Mix 1-1/2 teaspoons honey, the juice from 1/2 of a lemon, and 3-tablespoon yoghurt. Stir in 1 whipped egg white. Apply to face and let set about 15 minutes. Then wash off with lukewarm water.
- Combine 2 tablespoons of ground almonds with two tablespoons of olive oil, apply to face in a gentle, circular motion, rinse well, pat dry and add moisturizer.
Tips. Tricks. Beauty Secrets.

You know how your summer color is a shade or two darker than your winter color? Then you end up buying another

Benefits of Avocado
A brief introduction of the benefits of avocado:
1. Avocado has been used traditionally to help people with sexual problems.
2. Great antioxidant and can be used for skin disorders
3. Avocado will aid healing for people suffering from digestive and circulatory problems
4. Another benefit of avocado for the skin where avocado paste can be applied to rashes and rough skin to make it smoother.
5. The brighter the fruit, the more beta-carotene (the substance that helps to prevent cancer) your avocado contains.
The use :
1. The flesh of a ripe avocado soothes sunburnt skin. Just cut the fruit in half and rub it gently over the affected areas.
2. Eat an avocado everyday if you’re recuperating from sickness and are trying to regain your strength.
3. Mash Avocado with 1 tbsp of olive oil and apply to hair as a mask. Leave for about 20 minutes and rinse out thoroughly. Result: shiny hair
Eyebrow tip
Try plucking your eyebrows right after a shower. The heat from the shower helps to loosen hair follicles, making plucking easier and less painful.
Follow the guidelines in the picture for the correct way to pluck. If you want detailed “How to: Eyebrows” let us know!

Bronzing

These are the days that most people bronze themselves up due to the lack of sun, just do it the right way…
1. Make sure your face is clean, dry, matte, and fresh. If your skin is oily or damp it will leave streaks and spots, making your skin look dirty.
2. With darker skin, apply the blush first. Then apply the bronzer on top. This will give you a nice glow.
3. Sun-kissed look, apply the bronzer where the sun usually hits your face. This would be your forehead, cheekbones, and the bridge of your nose.
4. Don’t pack on the bronzer, especially if you have lighter skin. This will also make your skin look dirty.
