Another successful event! July 1 we were able to talk with the graduating future professionals of Paul Mitchell Pasadena.  It was inspiring to inspire these amazing individuals. After the workshop, we got asked advice and were able to give hope. Our workshops are about having a positive mindset, goal setting and creating like minded individuals to keep ourselves and each other accountable of our goals. We created a custom workbook to keep us all in a constant state of growth!

Thank you so much Paul Mitchell Pasadena for having us!!

Secrets of Successful Women Entrepreneurs: Shefali Khanna of Daily Look

February 12, 2015

I just came home from this awesome networking event I had to share right away. My friend and fellow artist, Naomi, invited me to StilettoGal’s event. So basically, Hillary Gadsby, is the founder of Stiletto Gal. Stiletto Gal is a “multimedia platform to empower and connect women in business and inspire young girls to be entrepreneurs.” How awesome is that?!

Stiletto Gal has monthly events and invites successful women entrepreneurs to share their story and tips to help out. We all have different passions, different business ideas,  and although we may think that we need to stick with the same industry to be inspired or learn, Stiletto Gal thinks other wise. We can learn from all successful women. And it did feel good to be in a room full of inspired women sharing their stories and passion.

Tonights event was held at 41 Ocean Club: 1541 Ocean Ave. Santa Monica

It starts at 6pm, you get a free cocktail ticket and you can hang out for an hour because the guest speaker isn’t on until 7pm. Starting at 7, Hillary interviews the guest speaker then at the end, the guests have time for Q&A, then network and meet each other after.

Tonights guest was Shefali Khanna, cofounder of Daily Look She shares her story of how she got started, what to look for in a partner, what to look for in your team, what the customers want, Core values/work ethic/passion, “eliminate self doubt”, and most importantly DON’T QUIT ….You best believe I took notes!

Definitely check out Hillary’s events:

Yuna Performs on Jimmy Kimmel Live

January 9, 2014

Last night My favorite Malaysian singer,

Yuna performed LIVE on Jimmy Kimmel, and I got the priviledge

to do her makeup once again.

Believe it or not, but she styles herself for almost

every performance and shoot. I just love how she pieces

things together. I LOVE how her gold pieces just pop!

my little set up from last night.

I wish I got a final shot of her makeup,

but the time just seemed to creep up on us.

Here is a quick look we did right before she

had to do a little intro on camera.

I used SmashBox PhotoFinish primer all over her skin to keep everything smooth.

I used Bobbi Brown stick foundation, I used two different colors to keep the definition on her face.

Then I contoured with Anastasia Contouring Palette! (this is a must, love contouring on everyone).

Set the foundation with Urban Decay Naked Powder, and gave her cheeks color with

Tarte Cosmetics 12 hour Blush Palette.

I used Urban Decay Naked Palette3 on her eyes.

Finished them off with Salon Perfect Lashes #105 using black DUO to keep them on.

Dip Brow from Anastasia Beverly Hills in the color Chocolate.

NYX Lip Liner in Burgandy

Then Filled them in with Ruby Woo from MAC.

Salon Perfect ColorEnhance Lashes

December 4, 2012

Salon Perfect

So I was asked almost a year ago to help with this project. Although they couldn’t pick

up the pallets of eyeshadows due to their contract they had with the company, after

working on it for weeks, they still came out with amazing concept of ColorEnhance

Lashes that make your eye color seem so much brighter. I was still a part of the project

and did the makeup for the Salon Perfect ColorEnhance lashes packaging.  Above are

some of the sketches and eyeshadow combos I picked out that would have been a part

of this project.

In this gallery you can see some of my work on the packaging! This was a very fun

experience to be a part of!!! :) I am so blessed to be doing what I love to do.

Thank You to everyone who helps me bring my dreams to reality.

Leopard scarf and leggings are from H&M

Beanie- fits perfect from Heel Bruise.

Makeup is pretty simple:

Red cherry lipliner from MAC
Face and Body foundation C4 MAC
Brows- brow shader from Ardell Lashes

SoulPancake For the OWN Network

February 21, 2012

I am so grateful to be working with these amazing people! They are so positive and creative and I couldn’t ask for a better group of people that I would want to be around. These are short episodes that air on the OWN Network.

My life long goal is to meet OPRAH! I have not done that yet but working for something that aires on her Network is very close so maybe soon :/ plus I love the concept and everyone on set is awesome! They want me to bring Azella! (picture above is Azella and I on set)

The crew setting up this huge old vintage TV set that they made themselves!

Below are a few of the episodes that have already aired, you’ll get the idea of the show when you see these episodes. Hopefully they will extended the length of the show and they can turn into 30minute episodes. :)

Basket Weave Hair Inspiration

February 17, 2012

I was browsing through a hair magazine and got so inspired to do this hair for a photoshoot. I love hair to be used as a canvas to work on. This basket weave look is amazing! I need to do this!

Hair stylist Chris Vandehey used Aquage Defining Gel to wrap and sculpt the hair. He sealed the look with Aquage working spray.
