Makeup Monday- Tattoo Cover Up

January 26, 2015
Tattoo Coverup

Happy Monday!

So I posted a photo on my personal instagram last week and I got a bunch of  texts from my friends asking me: “How in the world did you cover that tattoo with makeup!?” Color Theory my friend, Color Theory.

When we correct our under eye darkness, in most cases we use a salmon color to cancel out the bluish tones right? Right. We use opposite colors (or complimentary colors) from the color spectrum to cancel them out.
Bust out your color wheel or use the one below for reference. Follow these steps

color-wheel.jpg (1102×1102)1) Figure out what colors are in the tattoo.
(The picture above the bow was actually pink, (which is a hue of red) I used Green (Green is opposite of red) to cancel out the pink, but I only placed it in the areas where there was pink)

2)Find out what each color’s opposite is.

3)Take cream based makeup and use complimentary colors to go over tattoo. If you have multiple colors in the tattoo this will require some patience. You are basically going over whole tattoo color by color, this takes time.

Tip: Most “black” tattoos are actually a hue of green. Use red to cancel it out

4. Take a concealer and gently and ever so carefully pat the product over the tattoo

5. Set with powder

You may have to do a few layers switching between concealer and powder but be patient, trust me it will work!

Don’t forget to show us your work!

Makeup Monday- IMATS Haul

January 19, 2015

Hey Everyone!

Happy Monday! I’m super excited about today’s post.  This past Friday Alana and I went to IMATS in Pasadena. This was my first time going, and I was so lucky enough to tag along with Alana for the Adventure. Friday is the Pro Card Holder day and It was very chill. The lines weren’t too bad. The longest lines were at Morphe and Anastasia of Beverly Hills. I want to say I stood in the  ABH line for at leas an hour before a price sheet was passed back and we seen that there really was no discount. Then we decided to get out of line. All in all it was great experience.

I waned to share some items I got for both my kit and personal use.

1)Dose of Colors Baked Highlighter-Sun Kissed

This was one of the items I was most excited to try out, I have been wanting this forever. Its so pretty and shimmery.

2)Inglot Gel Liner- #77

I hear this is the holy grail of gel eyeliners, so of course I had to have it.

3)Make Up Forever Foundation Palette

In my Kit I use the Bobbi Brown BBU Palette, and although I love it, its not great for oily skin. I’ve heard so many great things about the Makeup Forever Foundation Palette, so I thought I’d get it for my kit and try it out for myself.

I can’t wait to go to more shows! Its so much fun spending the day shopping for makeup and meeting other Makeup Addicts like myself. If you went to IMATS and want to share your haul with us make sure to #LAMakeupMonday. Below are some Pictures Taken at IMATS. Until Next time!!

Makeup Monday- Wearable Cut Crease

January 12, 2015

Hello Beauties!!

So I wanted to share with you how I do an easy daytime cut crease eye shadow. As I was going through instagram, youtube and other social media, all I could find was over the top Cut Crease Looks. I wanted to something more wearable for any day of the week whether you’re going to work or school, and it can easily transition into a night out look if you want to top it off with glitter.

Let me know what you think! As always, share your looks with us! #LAMakeupMonday
