Pop Art Lips

May 29, 2014

Today I wanted to do something fun and different.

This is clearly just for fun and not something

someone would wear out for the day.

Step 1: Line your lips with a deep red liner.

Step 2: Fill in your lips with BESO lip gloss from Stila Cosmetics.

(this is a matte gloss that doesn’t transfer)

Step 3: with an angle brush line your lips with black eyeliner, I

used the black liner from Morphe.

Step 4: Color inside your lips with the same black liner.

Step 5: with Clown Cake from Ben Nye draw on a couple lines to make it cartoon like.

And there you have it, FUN Pop Art Lips!

I have a quick tutorial on my instagram check it out here.

see you in the next post.

How to Naturally Reduce Your Pore Size at Home!

May 28, 2014

Have you ever looked in the mirror and noticed large pores that weren’t there before?

A few days ago I was using my Clarisonic and my son comes running into the bathroom and asks…

“Mom, what are you doing to your face?’

I replied… ” Trying to get my skin to look like yours again.”

Now he runs around telling everyone that I want to look like him. haha

Our skin probably wont ever be as tight and smooth as it was when we were babies but

I can show you some natural steps to help reduce the size of your pores.

What Causes Large Pores?

Our bodies produce sebum, its an oily substance to protect the skin from drying out. People who have

naturally oily skin tend to have larger pores. When dirt and oil collect in your skin, your pores look larger than normal.

This is why is is very important to remove your makeup properly.

How To Naturally Reduce Your Pore Size?

DIY face mask.

Pour egg white from 1 egg into a bowl, whisk until the texture is foamy.

Let the bowl chill in the fridge for 5 minutes then squeeze the juice of one lemon.

Apply the mixture onto your skin, leave it one for 10-15 minutes.

Then rinse off with lukewarm water.

The citric acid present in lemons helps exfoliate the skin and clean slogged pores.

Egg White:

Egg whites have skin toning and complexion enhancing properties, it also keeps your skin free from impurities.

Raw Honey

Benefits: Reduces excess oil and tightens pores.

Honey can prevent clogged pores, apply raw honey to affected areas and massage into

skin for a few minutes. Then rinse with lukewarm water.

Relax and Enjoy this face mask!

See you in the next post.

Makeover Monday: Blondie

May 26, 2014

Just want to share this fun makeover I did on a new client. She’s been wanting to be a cool/ash blonde but never got it. And looking at her skin tone, a cool blonde was perfect for her.

I like to jump around and play with different color companies. They all have something great to offer. For her I used Matrix SoColor for her base and Matrix VLites for her highlights

Deep Plum Liner

May 23, 2014

I woke up this morning feeling super creative so I did what any makeup artist would do… their makeup.

Here is what I used:

Liner: I used a Lipliner from LA Girl Cosmetics called wine. First I applied it to my lash line.
– Then to perfect it, I used a thin eyeliner brush from Morphe to spread the product.
– Next I set the eyeliner with and eyeshadow similar in color so it doesn’t move.
– Finished my eyes, with ebony brow shadow from Anastasia Beverly Hills and wine color enhance lashes from Salon Perfect.

With an angle brush I applied Romance Lipstick from LA Girl Cosmetics. Outlined and slightly filled them in.
-Shaded the corners of my lips in with a black shadow.
– Filled the center of my lips with Dose Of Colors, Soft Touch.

Simple Smokey Eyes

May 13, 2014

Simple Smokey Eyes

Did you ever realize how easy it is to do a smokey eye?!

This is the best smokey eye technique when you have about 10-15min to get ready.

Plus look how much bigger it makes your eyes look!!!

You want to apply a primer all over your lid so the makeup could stay.

(you can apply a darker primer on your lower lid so the shadow comes on dark,

I usually use black liner and blend it in)  Using the Tarte Cosmetics Holiday Palette.

1. Using a flat brush you want to apply #1 on your lower lid

2. Then with a blending brush, blend #2 right onto your crease blending all the

colors together.

3. Using a flat brush use #3 right below your brow bone to highlight your eyes.

4. to get the smokeyness below your lower lash like you want to use a

black eyeliner in your water line.

5. Then with a pencil brush use the color #1 right below your lower lash line,

then with a stiffer  blending brush softly blend #4 right below #1.

6. Finish off the look with Tarte Cosmetics precision liner and #33 lashes from Salon Perfect.

I hope you enjoyed this quick and easy smokey eye!

Ill see you in the next post!

How To Get Easy Sexy Beach Waves

May 13, 2014

beach waves before and afterHere’s a quick tutorial on how to get easy, sexy beach waves. How to go from the left picture, straight, to loose fun beach waves.

easy sexy beach waves tutorial

Before getting started, prep your hair with heat protectant

1) Part your hair down the middle, or side, whichever is the most natural for you, and leave out the bottom section of your hair, by the nape around the bottom ear, clip up the rest of your hair

2) Take a piece from the hair you left down, Hold the end of your hair and start wrapping on the curling iron . Wrap the hair on the curling iron away from your face. Finish this whole side of your head. Removing the clip to release more hair until you reach the top. Don’t worry about the size of sections you’re taking. The more random, various sizes the better lived in sexy beach waves you’ll get

3) Repeat on the opposite side

4)Once your head is all curled, flip your head upside down, or loosen your hair from the nape

5) Take random pieces, hold the end of your hair with one hand, the other hand will be teasing the hair from the end to the roots. This will create a very textured look

….and now you have easy sexy beach waves

Finish the look with my new favorite product. Kenra Professional Dry Texturizing Spray

kenra dry texturizing sprayWhat’s to Love: it has amazing amount of texture, has a matte finish, smells yummy, great for this sexy beach wave look, for stylists this is great for updos, it gives silky fine hair lots of texture

How to use: it’s aerosal, spray on dry hair, from roots to ends

Who’s it for: anyone wanting texture in their life!
