Physician Formula BB Cream Review

January 16, 2014

So I purchased this a few months ago. I actually did a review on it already. But at that point I never tried

Physicians Formula BB Cream  Pressed Powder. BTW the photo above is unedited so you can see the true coverage of the BB cream.

Yesterday I decided to try something new.

I wanted to review a product that was inexpensive and easy to purchase. So I picked these items.

This is said to be the ALL in ONE  “Miracle Cream”

Now if you are looking for a natural Dewy finish then this is the product for you.

First I applied the “all in one” BB cream all over my face. I purchase the Medium/Deep color but wish I got the

Light/Medium now because its not summer and my skin tone is 4 shades lighter.

I set the BB cream with this BB pressed powder and it really gave my skin a nice finish.

It looked flawless! something I was not expecting. I expected it to look chalky for some reason. But this product

laid on my skin so nicely it looked so natural.

So then I tried this bronzer. I love how it has SPF 20 on it, but does it really work that way?

I need to look into more research about this, because that is AMAZING!

I really liked the color of it right when I applied it but I noticed as the

hours flew by the bronzer started to fade away. But the good thing is…. I do know that they have

another bronzer  >here<  that works wonders. This is how they explain it on their site…

“Revolutionary Italian technology combines the best features of powder, baked and cream bronzers for the most stunning bronze glow. Delivers a skin-perfecting finish unlike any other bronzer, we had to call it “Deluxe”!

After using it several time I will have to agree that it melts into your skin giving you a natural glow! :)

BTW they sell the Beauty Balm Makeup Kit that has all the products I just described in one package which is a little cheaper.

Matte Green Look

January 14, 2014

To get this look I used a palette from Tarte Cosmetics  .

1. Use an eye shadow primer, I used the 12 hour creaseless primer form Tarte. >here<

2. I used “Taj Mahal” ( top left) all over my lid

3. Then defined my crease with “Grand Canyon” ( top right)

4. I highlighted the center of my waterline with their inner rim brightner. ( my ALL time favorites) >here<

5. Then I smoked out The green “central park” with a pencil brush right below my lash line.

6. To soften the green up a little more, I blended “Big Ben” (bottom left) right below it with a blending brush.

Final EYE look

To finish up the look I used, Ardell Lashes Demi Pixies.

What to wear with your hair: Mousse Foam by 7Salon

January 9, 2014

So I’ve had this product for a while but haven’t used it. Honestly, I wasn’t a big fan of mousse. Until now that I’ve tried this Mousse Foam by 7Seven. I was with a client and ran out of volumizing spray for her roots and grabbed this product. I seriously loved the result right away! It gave lots of shine & volume

How I used it:
1) on damp hair, after the shower, apply on the roots around the crown section
2)blow dry your hair lifting the roots up
3) dry the rest of your hair… you have that natural volume going on!
4) style however you like, curl, straighten, roundbrush

What I did notice was while your hair is still wet & you start blow drying with the mousse in your hair, it feels a little ruff. Then when it’s completely dry, your hair feels fluffy! Fluffy meaning that extra bounce

What I also love about this product are the key ingredients:
organic aloe Vera leaf juice- stimulates hair growth & adds more moisture than water
Pro vitamin b 5- improves the condition of damaged hair & reduced the formation of split ends
vitamin E- antioxidant that nourishes the scalp & prevent breakage

Yuna Performs on Jimmy Kimmel Live

January 9, 2014

Last night My favorite Malaysian singer,

Yuna performed LIVE on Jimmy Kimmel, and I got the priviledge

to do her makeup once again.

Believe it or not, but she styles herself for almost

every performance and shoot. I just love how she pieces

things together. I LOVE how her gold pieces just pop!

my little set up from last night.

I wish I got a final shot of her makeup,

but the time just seemed to creep up on us.

Here is a quick look we did right before she

had to do a little intro on camera.

I used SmashBox PhotoFinish primer all over her skin to keep everything smooth.

I used Bobbi Brown stick foundation, I used two different colors to keep the definition on her face.

Then I contoured with Anastasia Contouring Palette! (this is a must, love contouring on everyone).

Set the foundation with Urban Decay Naked Powder, and gave her cheeks color with

Tarte Cosmetics 12 hour Blush Palette.

I used Urban Decay Naked Palette3 on her eyes.

Finished them off with Salon Perfect Lashes #105 using black DUO to keep them on.

Dip Brow from Anastasia Beverly Hills in the color Chocolate.

NYX Lip Liner in Burgandy

Then Filled them in with Ruby Woo from MAC.

What To Wear With Your Hair: Loreal Professional Volumetry SOS Refreshing Spray

January 6, 2014

I really do love dry shampoo, so when there’s a new one in the market I love to research it & try it out.

Loreal professional came out with a line strictly for fine hair; shampoo, conditioner, root spray & dry shampoo. What I tried is their powder fresh dry shampoo. This is your perfect mix of a thickening spray & dry shampoo, absorbing the excess soil while giving extra body.

Great for Mid day for pick me up, second or third day no wash, and after the gym!

Spray in root and brush it in. That’ll distribute product evenly & absorb all excess oil. You’ll love the instant results & especially the following day result…. Extra volume

Romantic Day Look

January 6, 2014

I posted this look a couple days ago on my instagram. @alanadawn

I got this look using the Naked3 Palette. I haven’t really heard very many people

raving about theNaked3 Palette after it came out. But I actually enjoy the natural pinks

especially for my brides. In the next week I will show you how to get the best looks using

the Naked3 palette.

Step 1:  Apply an eyeshadow base, I used painterly paint pot from MAC, then I applied “buzz” on my lower lid.

Step 2: Take a small brush and put “dust” in the inner corner of your eye to brighten up your eyes.

Step 3: Using a tapered blending brush, Take “blackheart”  and apply it to your deep crease.

Step 4: Then take “nooner” and apply it across your crease to blend the colors together.

Step 5: Take “dip down” from MAC and create a winged shape liner across your upper lash line. Then smoke out “blackheart” across your lower lash line.

Step 6: Finish up the look by applying Dose of Colors “show stopper” lashes.

January Favorites!

January 3, 2014

1. Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow

If you have tried this product then you would know exactly why its one of my favorites!!! This brow Pomade is completely smudge proof, water proof, fade proof! Using an angle brush you can apply as much or as little product as you want, which makes the application easy. I apply more product on the brush when I’m defining the lower part of my brow,  whats left over on my brush, thats what I use to shade in my brows. The best part about it is, Im only using ONE product. :)  DipBrow Pomade comes in 5 different colors. You can Purchase them here.

2. Tarte Cosmetics Maracuja Creaseless Concealer

I LOVE using this product as my highlight, it works just as it says, CREASELESS! this product is full coverage and sits perfectly onto the skin without making you look like you have a ton of makeup on.

3. NYX Glitter Gel Liner
