What To Wear With Your Hair: Sexy Hair & Kat Von D Tattoo Liner

Two new products I’d love to share! These recommendations are from my client and she’ll share why she loves them

Sexy Hair: Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Tri Wheat Leave in Conditioner

“Love this product because once I’m out of the shower I just spray and it leaves my hair feeling soft! Affordable price too, can be found at target!”

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper black “My all time favorite eyeliner! Since I don’t wear much eyeshadow or makeup on a daily basis this is my favorite liner to use everyday to add a subtle cateye to the edge of my eyes. Lasts all day and no smudging. Also the easiest liquid eyeliner I’ve ever used!”

Review: Urban Decay Naked Powder

August 20, 2013

I have to do a review on this powder because I ALWAYS have to share my FAVORITES!

this has got to be the best finishing powder I have yet to try. Every model I have used this on has went and

purchased it the next day. This powder gives you such a flawless finish. You have to try it yourself.

So many people ask what I use on my face. I change it up all the time but right now. I like to use…

Primer: Smash Box photo finish primer

Foundation: Studio Fix Fluid NC35

Concealer: NC30 Full Coverage

Setting Powder: Naked Powder from Urban Decay

This powder looks and feels like you are wearing nothing!

What To Wear With Your Hair: Tressa, Sebastian, and Clinique

August 8, 2013

If you have red hair and want to maintain the vibrancy, for sure try Tressa Watercolor Shampoo in Fluid Fire ( for some reason I thought it was Fiery Red and posted that on IG). It’ll keep putting back some of that red, a life saver in between your next color service! Fiery Red is great for medium to bright reds!

Two products my client wants to share is Sebastian Craft Clay and Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey.

In her words, she loves these two because, for her hair, ” I like scrunching craft clay in my hair for volume and texture…I use it also when I curl my instead of hairspray (I find that I end up with sticky/knotted hair) I like Clinique in Black Honey Because it gives a sheer tint and its not too much color like lipstick”

I love sharing these What To Wear With Your Hair with you all, there are so much products out there we don’t know about and this is great to learn what we may like! Hope you are enjoying What To Wear With Your Hair!

Makeover Monday: Red Violet All Over

August 5, 2013

Red Violet All Over!

My client normally comes in just for hair cuts then we started doing color, something of low maintenance. So we did a few ombre piece, nothing too dramatic so she can wear it out for a while. This time, when Stacey came in, she wanted a change. Stacey sent me a bunch of different versions of red color. Mostly leaning toward red violets. I love red violets!! Here is the final look! Hope you like it!

The Cut: Trimmed the ends just a bit to keep length but enough to remove dry ends. Lots of layers

and shorter layers towards the face

The Color: Red violet highlights all through out her head, alternating different brightness of the red violet

The Style: I used all “Seven Products“, Boost for volume and hold all throughout her hair, and Encore hairspray for medium hold

Cambodia Trip: Support The Trade

August 2, 2013

So I’m going to Cambodia! Didn’t plan on this at all. I discovered this organization The Trade Foundation and was drawn to what they do. Briefly, they empower women.  These women they help have been affected by sex trafficking. The Trade teaches hair, makeup and donates tools so these women can have a different route aside from selling their bodies, they have a new learned trade they can utilize and make money from that. How amazing? The Trade travels where they are needed. For more detailed information please visit their website <3

This particular project in Cambodia is with Agape International Missions. They started in Cambodia as a church in 1989, in 2005 their main focus was to end child sex slavery. ugh! so sad! AIM fights sex trafficking, restore victims, and transform communities. The Trade will be working with AIM and teach in Cambodia, Siem Reap for 3 months. This will be my first time with The Trade and  will be in Cambodia for 2 weeks assisting. I feel blessed to be able to utilize my tools, my passion, and transfer that to women, give them hope and a better life!

Ah! so surreal right now, I will be leaving August 8 and be back August 23. Thank you so much to my family, friends and clients who have donated towards my trip!!! I will for sure post pictures and my journey when I get back! I’ll post as much as I can on my Instagram too @xazellex
