Review: Coconut Body Butter

July 11, 2013

Review: Coconut Body Butter

I love Trader Joe’s. I purchased this product about 2 weeks ago.

I like to use a product for a while so I can give my true opinion of it.

The packaging is super simple, you can fit all your fingers in it to grab a handful

This is a thick, smooth, buttery, body cream that’s made with pure coconut oil and other natural,

skin-soothing ingredients, like aloe vera, shea butter and vitamin E.

The Body Butter smells amazing! Reminds me of summer.

Every morning I apply it all over my skin and it keeps me feeling moisturized throughout

the day. Definitely would recommend using this, especially after a nice body scrub!

I have seen similar products, with the same ingredients and the go for over $20, this one was only $4.99!!!

Matte Smokey Eye

Something about MATTE

I love matte shadows! When I saw this palette I HAD to have it!!!

The palette below is from Tarte Cosmetics

Before applying the shadow make sure to prime your eyes with and eyeshadow base,

this will keep your eyeshadow looking fresh the whole day!

1. Using a flat brush apply #1 right below your brow for your highlight.

2. Then take the #2 color and apply across your lower lid.

3. I like to add a tiny bit of color so I added the purple #3 to the outer corner of my eye. Use a blending brush to do this.

4. Then blend the purple using the brown shadow #4 and a blending brush. brush up towards your crease.

5.To blend all the colors together use #5 a soft brown in your crease.

6.Use the eyeliner it comes with in your waterline, And smoke out the liner using the purple shadow #3.

7. Line your eye with the #4 color using an angle brush. Wet the brush a little bit with fix+ spray from MAC.This will help you get a ore precise line.

8. Then we add the lashes!!! using DUO, and I used bubble gum lashes from Alash

Until Next Time!

Makeover Monday- Softer& Brighter Highlights

July 7, 2013

Softer & Brighter Highlights

Meet my friend Jen! She typically gets highlights but this time wanted to venture out a little and try the ombre effect. I added on to her existing highlights to blend in more & brighten her up giving an ombre effect. Love her results!

The Cut: Trim and layers

The Color: Brigher, blended highlights, keeping the tone golden

The Style: Heat protectant with serum throughout the ends, I love Kerastase Elixir Ultime, thick and absorbs right in the hair making it soft and shiny. I curled with Hot tools 1 inch taking random sections

Natural Auburn Highlights

July 2, 2013

My client had about 2 inches of regrowth, natural dark brown/black and her ends had a washed out color. I evened out her hair just by adding a half head of auburn and copper brown highlights. I alternated both colors to have a natural, softly blended look. She didn’t have much layers so I added medium length. Looks beautiful!
