What To Wear With Your Hair: Kerastase Nectar Thermique and Urban Decay Naked Palette

July 30, 2013

I asked my client Jamie what she loves with her hair and makeup. These are her two favorites, Kerastase Nectar Thermique and Urban Decay Naked Palette

Kerastase Nectar Thermique is really awesome, I recommend this for everyone. It is for dry & sensitive hair but I’m sure normal and fine hair will love it as well. This product adds tons of moisture, softness and a heat protectant. Love that!!

Urban Decay Naked Palette has 12 different neutrals and a shadow brush! You can use these colors alone or nicely blended with darker shadows

Why Jamie loves these two products, ” The Hair conditioner makes my hair feel silkier and soft. Naked Palette- All the colors on the palette can be mixed and used differently for day or night. It’s my one stop shop!”

You can check out the products on:

What to wear with your hair: Pureology Shampoo

July 24, 2013

What to wear with your hair:

For our bright red ombre, or for any color treated hair I love Pureology Hydrate Shampoo. It’s sulfate free, meaning it is gentle and won’t strip out your hair. Rinse the hair with COOL water. If you’re not used to cool water, get used to it! Especially if you color your hair. It’s great for your skin and hair, seals cuticles and give great shine.

For this bright red try MAC lipstick in Ravishing. It’s a light peachy coral in cremesheen finish.

Try it and let us know if you love it!

Product Review: Physicians Formula BB Cream

July 22, 2013

Product Review: Physicians Formula BB Cream

I have have yet to try BB creams from drugstores, the last couple weeks

I have been stuck on this BB cream from Physicians Formula. It gives the right

amount of coverage for your daily wear. I love how easy it is in the morning.

On my days that I dont have much time to get ready or dont really have the

energy to put my whole face on.

I apply this bb cream all over my face and then set it with my favorite powder,

mineralized skin finish powder

in medium plus from MAC. Them maybe I will add mascara haha.

This is a great alternative from your daily foundation routine.

Try it. Get your physicians formula BB

Cream here.

Makeover Monday Red Edition

July 22, 2013

This Makeover Monday is dedicated to my new client Caroline! What a sweetie! A new mommy to an adorable baby Dominic, love his name! Well as a new mommy you know what that means? Roots so long it’s not even called a re touch, it’s a full on makeover!

Caroline was pretty open with her request, just having the time to get out and get herself all done up was enough for her and her busy schedule. She mentioned that she had red violet hair before and was also considering blonde too. Getting to know her and seeing her I created this new look:

The Cut: Just a little off the ends and medium layers. We added some side swept bangs

The Color: Dark Red violet on the base, brighter red in the middle and warm golden blonde ends

The Style: 1″ Hot Tools curling iron

Let me know what you guys think!

What to wear with your hair: Spray de mode

July 21, 2013

For my clients hair, we do a rich, dark gloss & keep her hair cut less maintenance with low layers. I added a quick braid to add style. Braiding the hair if you have no/or little layers is a perfect style because it gives dimension to it. Do you Have lots of layers and tried braiding your hair? Little pieces pop out of the braid. Less layers in the hair has a smoother, more fluid braid result.

What to wear with your hair: I love bumble and bumble spray de mode hair spray. I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned this hair spray before because I love it. It is one of my main products I must have. This product is amazing because it is versatile, flake free, lightweight with great memory. What I mean by versatile is you can spray on dry hair and continue with heat styling, so it acts as a heat protectant. Or you can use as a finished product hairspray.

Love it! Let me know if you’ve tried it and what you think!

Product review: Clear Pore cleanser/mask Neutrogena

July 19, 2013

Tonight’s spotlight is on Clear Pore cleanser/Mask by Neutrogena

I’m so glad I found this! I tend to breakout every now and then and needed a mild cleanser but will fight acne. I found this cleanser at target for around $5 I totally fell in love that its a 2 in 1: cleanser and mask!

As a cleanser: you can definitely feel the tingly cooling mintyness of it. Does pretty well in cleaning my makeup off too.

As a mask: leave it on for the recommended time of 5 min! I thought I can leave it in longer, but no! My cheeks were bright red after rinsing lol. So 5 minutes is perfect. It will start tightening and turning white. After you rinse off, with warm water to break it down, your skin definitely feels clean!!!

Comment & Let me know if you’ve tried it!!
