Tonights jam! Love how the guys in white suits dance!  I especially enjoy the lyrics, has a pretty profound meaning.

Say Hello to Joanne

November 26, 2012

Love my client Joanne!  She lets me do whatever I want to her hair and always gets compliments on it!

We did some beautiful brown lowlights to a caramel blonde ombre.  This is perfect from having lighter highlights/ombre during the summer to a darker ombre for the winter!

Beauty Tip: Bling big

November 26, 2012

For the holiday season, accessorize! Yes have fun dressing up! If you have a cute simple outfit, wearing a headband with some bling will totally change it up! Go bling or go home!

Great example is Jamie King in a simple black out fit with a pretty loud headband. Try it!

Beauty Tip: Floppy Bows

November 19, 2012

I’ve never tried this look, but it looks super cute on these ladies!

How to get a floppy bow:

1) cut a piece of ribbon long enough to go around your head twice!

2) position it on the base of your neck

3)pull the sides up behind your ear

4) tie up in a bow

optional: twist it to the side like Zooey Deschanel!

Beauty Tip: Clean your brushes

November 16, 2012

Why do we need to clean our makeup brushes?

1) get rid of bacteria

2)letting makeup brushes sit for too long will damage the bristles permanently

Wash them thoroughly I’d say once a month. A cleansing, gentle shampoo will work. For daily/weekly cleansing use a cleanser specifically for brushes. I’ve been using MAC brush cleaner $14

Spotlight: Wine Lips

November 15, 2012

The trend on the runways was dark, wine lips. Don’t you love it too? I mean don’t get it confused with the high school chola days, this look is pretty classy.

Creative Makeup Director for Fashion Fair, Sam Fine says “Wine looks good on a variety of skin tones, making it one of the easiest colors to pull off”

Try different shades of the wine.

To add intensity to the shade you choose, apply, blot and reapply again.

Love this look! Especially with her high braided bun!
