Kristen Dunst’s Wispy Updo

October 4, 2011

Instyle: We love the beachy waves in Kristen Dunst’s  unfussy updo at the UK premiere of her new movie Melancholia.

To craft your own locks into relaxed waves, rough-dry your hair with your fingers, not a brush. (This will create volume and texture.)

Part on the side, then, for added definition, create a few loose spirals with a curling iron along the strands that frame your face.

Fasten your hair into an undone chignon in the back and finish with a mist of lighthold hairspray.

Finally, take your cue from Dunst and pair the hairstyle with glowy skin and neutral makeup

Dear Diary

October 2, 2011

We all have a dream of what we want to do… eventually, well how about now? Most of us are too scared to just do it because we’re afraid of what others may say or of failure.  If it is something you really want to do, you will find the fire within you to just do it! You will wake up one day, filled with enthusiasm, and say “I’m going to do it”

We only have this ONE life to live, live it by doing what you love and will be happy in doing it. Most importantly, what I have learned from one of the most fearless, amazing business figures, Richard Branson, is have FUN!

“It wasn’t always easy. But when you have goals and a positive outlook on life, you have something to aim for. Hard work and Fun is what life is all about.”-Richard Branson

October 2, 2011

Amazing what ideas we can come up with. Who would have ever thought of having glasses made out of hair?!  Check out these glasses found on Studio Swine

‘Hair Glasses is a collection of sustainable fashion eyewear exploring the potential of Human hair.

The UK beauty industry imports 15 million pounds worth of human hair per year. As the world’s population continues to increase, human hair has been reimagined as a viable—importantly renewable–material.

Hair Glasses comprises of human hair with bioresin as a binding agent, the frames are 100% biodegradable and no harmful substances are released during production.

Studio Swine explores how the booming production of hair extensions can be expanded beyond the beauty industry to make other commodities that are equally desirable.’- Studio Swine

Pop Art Halloween Makeup

October 1, 2011

Last week I turned myself into pop art! a Roy Lichtenstein inspired look. I know I look kinda freaky but I love it!  lol

I wanted to create something different, something that you don’t see too often for Halloween. I want to give you guys some ideas b/c its my favorite time of the year and I always have a hard time looking for the best costume.

This looks really hard but I broke the steps down so you guys can follow it pretty easily.

There are 2 different pop art looks in the video, the 1st one is a little simpler where there are dots just around the eyes, and the second look is a little more enhanced where there are red dots all over the face and drawn on tear drops etc…

2nd Look

I hope you guys love the video! Don’t Forget I have A LOT MORE tutorials and Ideas for Halloween so come back & visit our blog or my channel at youtube.com/LadyArt7
