To get this 1970’s look. The key is to go thick with the eyeliner, lang thick lashes, white liner in your water line, and use  a contour for your blush!

Jennifer’s Photo Shoot

December 22, 2009

One of my amazing clients, Jennifer aka Groove Tickets, wanted to do a shoot for new pictures to add for her portfolio.  So last friday, Alana and I got started and worked it early morning at Jennifers place. We were recreating an old photo she found and kind of played around with her inspiration. It was an outdoor shoot so we did it  just at her backyard balcony. Her friend and great photographer,  Christophe Wu shot the look for us.

This is the inspiration photo: 416e82680e45

Uses for tea bags

December 22, 2009

Tea Bags

Eyes-bags

Place a cold tea bag (green tea or black tea) on each eye for approximately 10 minutes to help  reduce eye puffiness.

Eyebrows

After tweezing your eyebrows, you can use wet tea bags to soothe the skin around your eyebrows

Body

Add Chamomile tea bags into your warm bath to help you relax and soothe your senses.

Face

Splash your face with cool black tea as an astringent.

Feet

Soak feet in tea for several minutes then pat dry, the tannins in tea help fight odor causing bacteria.

December 20, 2009

Brittany-Murphy-29-1

I woke up to the sad news of Brittany Murphy, as TMZ reportsActress Brittany Murphy, known for her roles in films such as “Clueless” and “8 Mile,”

died Sunday at age 32. “Murphy died early this morning after she went into full cardiac arrest and could not be revived,” the site reported.”

A 911 call was made at 8:00 AM from a home in Los Angeles that is listed as belonging to her husband, Simon Monjack,” the report cited the Los Angeles City Fire Department as saying.

How can we ever forget Britany Murphy aka Tai, I watched her on CLUELESS almost every day growing up.

“Why should I listen to you, anyway? You’re a virgin who can’t drive.”

Gray the new hair color?

December 17, 2009

For spring 2010, designers: Giles, Gareth Pugh, and Proenza Schouler ‘s main hair design is pretty much all over gray or infusing gray pieces into the hairs of the models.

Talk about letting your roots grow out, it’s pretty sexy being all natural

3 Wet Hair Tips

December 17, 2009

brush

1.)Your hair is weak when it’s wet, so never rub your hair dry with a towel. Instead, blot the wetness out with a towel and fluff it with your fingers.

2.)When your hair is soaking wet, it is pointless to blowdry it right a way, this lengthens your blow dry time. Squeeze out excess water and towel blot, continue with other after shower routine to let the towel absorb more moisture, then proceed to blowdry.

3.)Also, dont comb your hair with a brush or comb when wet. This causes breakage. Add a light leave in conditioner, towel blot your hair or blowdry then brush with a wide tooth comb.
